An option for selected patients

MACS lift: a short-incision facelift

MACS lift is one option I consider for facial sagging. It is not the starting point for every plan: suitability depends on tissue distribution and what each face actually needs.

Assessment and treatment

Repositioning when appropriate

Examination distinguishes volume loss, skin changes and tissue descent. This determines whether to treat the skin, restore volume or consider repositioning surgery.

01

What it can offer

It addresses selected changes in facial tissue position through a limited approach. The indication is based on the concern being corrected, not simply the incision length.

02

What it does not address on its own

It does not correct every neck concern or replace treatment for texture, pigmentation or volume loss. If a different problem predominates, I will explain other options.

After treatment

Recovery and follow-up

Although the incision is short, this is still surgery. You need to allow for swelling, possible bruising and follow-up. Return to activities and stitch removal are planned according to the procedure and your progress.

Realistic expectations

What we agree before treatment

I do not present it as a facelift with no downtime or as a universal solution. We also consider not operating and whether other techniques are better suited to you.

Frequently asked questions

MACS lift

Does a short incision mean there is no scar?

No. There is a scar, and its design must be explained before surgery. Its development depends on the technique, aftercare and how you heal.

Is it combined with other procedures?

It can be combined with skin, volume or double-chin treatments when indicated. Adding procedures is not an aim in itself: each should contribute to the plan.

What risks should I know about?

Risks include haematoma, infection, unfavourable scarring, asymmetry and changes in sensation or movement due to nerve injury. Assessment and consent must address these risks and alternatives.

How much does it cost?

The initial consultation costs €150, in person or by video. A treatment quote is prepared after assessment, according to the agreed plan.
